India will need 2,380 new planes by 2038: Boeing

Indian airline operators will require 2,380 new commercial aircraft worth $330 billion (Rs.23.4 lakh crore) to handle the growing demand for air travel over the next 20 years, according to Boeing’s 20-year (2019-2038) commercial market outlook.

India’s commercial aircraft fleet is projected to quadruple in size to approximately 2,500 planes by 2038.

To operate and maintain the expanding fleet, operators will spend an estimated $440 billion (Rs.31.2 lakh crore) on aviation services.
