Of Tim Cook's maiden visit to India....

Apple CEO Tim Cook wrapped up his 4-day long maiden India visit after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he discussed “possibilities of manufacturing“ and retailing in India.
Cook, who had come to India on Tuesday night, called on the Prime Minister during the day and also launched an updated version of the `Narendra Modi Mobile App'.
The Apple CEO informed Modi about the various initiatives his company plans to undertake in the country , but there was no definitive indication of any immediate plans to make devices in the country . “Cook shared Apple Inc's future plans for India. He spoke of the possibilities of manufacturing and retailing in India. He appreciated the breadth of young talent in India, and said the youth have significant skills which Apple would like to tap,“ a statement released by government said.
The Apple CEO also tweeted about his meeting.“Thanks PM @narendramodi for a great meeting. Already looking forward to next visit to India,“ he said.
Cook, who met a number of start-up founders during his stay in the country , also mentioned the immense potential for `app-development' that exists in India. “He also elaborated on the Map Development Centre that Apple Inc. is setting up in Hyderabad. He appreciated the Prime Minister's initiatives in `ease of doing business',“ the statement said.
Cook has been looking at ways to boost the sales of Apple devices in India at a time when the company faces increased pressure in countries such as the US and China. During his stay in the country , the Apple CEO has met top officials at major telecom companies such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and the soon-to-be launched Reliance Jio Infocomm of Mukesh Ambani.
