Jai Samaikyandhra Party

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy announced that his political outfit will be called ‘Jai Samaikyandhra Party’ (JSP) and declared that it would strive to merge the two states once again.
Displaying a piece of the Berlin Wall that was torn down in 1989 paving the way for the merger of the two Germanys, Kiran said at a press conference that the memento was the inspiration for his political party. “Several people from Telangana have already met me and urged me to lead a campaign for the unification of the two states,” he claimed.
Raising the banner of Telugu self-respect, Kiran said the Jai Samaikyandhra Party would continue to question the manner in which the bifurcation process was carried out by the Centre. When mediapersons pointed out that the AP Reorganization Act has come into being and that there can be no going back now, Kiran refused to acknowledge that, stating that the issue is still with the Supreme Court and that several Acts have been repealed in the past.
The JSP was originally registered by former MP Srihari and has been now taken over by Kiran. A politician from Rajahmundry, Srihari was in the Telugu Desam party (TDP) when it was headed by NTR.
