The Mars Orbiter Mission (MoM), which is on its way to planet Mars, could see some operational corrections next month if Isro conducts trajectory correction manoeuvre (TCM) of the spacecraft. This will be the scheduled TCM, with the first trajectory correction manoeuvre (TCM) conducted on December 11, 2013. In total, three TCM are planned in April, August and September respectively.
The mid-course corrections are planned for the orbiter, which may become necessary if it strays from it’s planned course towards Mars. Isro sources said that the date for the TCM has not been decided as yet.
