Mumbai Metro III snippets

Fourteen private players, including international ones, have shown interest in designing and constructing stations and tunnels for the underground Colaba–Bandra–SEEPZ metro rail project.
Now, officials will evaluate bids. This is expected to be completed by mid-June.
This 32.5 km-long metro corridor will have 26 underground stations, connecting south Mumbai to the north. It will pass through Worli, Bandra, the domestic and international terminals of the airport and will connect the city’s five business districts – Nariman Point, Lower Parel, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Andheri MIDC and SEEPZ. The car depot is planned at Aarey Milk Colony opposite SEEPZ.
For the benefit of change of travel mode, passenger interchanges are planned at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus for Central Railway; Churchgate, Mumbai Central and Mahalaxmi on the Western Railway line; Marol naka for Metro Rail (Versova–Andheri–Ghatkopar metro), Mahalaxmi which is close to Jacob Circle for monorail Cuffe Parade and SEEPZ depots for public buses of BEST.
The total project cost estimate is Rs.23,136 crore and the funds are being raised from various sources, including Japan International Cooperation Agency.
