Somewhere in Akhilesh Pradesh....

Family members of the two teenage cousin Dalit sisters who were gangraped and hanged, on Saturday termed the incident as more gruesome than the December 16 Nirbhaya gangrape in New Delhi, and demanded that the accused be hanged publicly.
“The manner in which the entire world saw our innocent girls hanging, we want that in the same manner it should watch the accused hanging. They should be hanged publicly,“ said the father of one of the victims while demanding CBI probe into the case .

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav announced he would recommend a CBI inquiry into the rape and murder of two teenaged girls in Badaun three days earlier.
The announcement came minutes after Congress VP Rahul Gandhi met the families of the two Dalit cousins and backed their demand for a CBI probe. Officials said a formal recommendation for the probe would be sent to the Centre as soon as the families of the two girls request for it.
An IG-rank officer of the UP police has been asked to visit the family in this regard.
The state government has taken a lot of flak over the manner in which it has handled the case. It was forced to seek the CBI probe as two constables of a local police outpost are alleged to have been involved in the rape.
The government had earlier announced the case would be tried in a fast-track court.
The alleged rapists have been named as Pappu Yadav, Awdesh Yadav, Urvesh Yadav (all brothers), Sarvesh Yadav and Chattrapal Gangwar in the FIR. Two other accomplices are yet to be identified.
