Somewhere in Mumbai....

Western Railway introduced its new-age Bombardier rakes on Wednesday morning, eliciting a mostly positive response from commuters, who were happy about their comfort and aesthetics.
The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation rakes were introduced 17 months after their arrival here.
WR ran 16 services on Wednesday , the first of which ran from Churchgate to Borivli at 11.32am. The swanky rakes are an upgraded version of the Siemens rakes that were procured under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project-II.
Another attraction was the grab pole allowing two people to hold on to it. At the entrance, the middle pole is a few centimetres deeper into the compartment. A WR official said,“
The rakes got the thumbs up for lighting and ventilation. The rakes came in for criticism too, with some feeling that the racks may not be able to take heavy luggage. Another commuter said that with more space, there should have been handles for commuters to hold on to in between seats.
