A tigress died after getting caught in a trap set by poachers at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. The carcass was spotted by a forest guard.
Autopsy revealed that it was a “sub-adult” (about one and a half years old) tigress. “She might have died two days before as the carcass had started to decompose. She got caught in the wire-snare trap set for herbivores ,” an official said.
