Justice Dattu sworn in as CJI

Justice H L Dattu, who has been heading the bench monitoring probe into the 2G scam, was on Sunday sworn in as the Chief Justice of India by President Pranab Mukherjee. He will have a tenure of 14 months. Justice Handyala Lakshminarayanaswamy Dattu, 63, graduated from a law college in Shimoga and started his legal profession in the Karnataka high court.
