For all the doubts expressed regarding reliability of electronic voting machines from time to time, including by Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, the tallying of VVPAT (voter verifiable paper audit trail) slips and EVM count in all 822 constituencies across four states and a UT threw up a 100% match.

EC sources said that tallying with EVM count was undertaken with respect to 1,492 VVPATs in West Bengal, 1,183 VVPATs in Tamil Nadu, 728 in Kerala, 647 in Assam and 156 in Puducherry.
