A 70-acre coconut farm at Kannamangala near Whitefield was inaugurated by chief minister BS Yediyurappa. The verdant lung space is the first major botanical garden in east Bengaluru. The farm was raised by horticulture expert MH Marigowda with coconut species from 15 different countries and has been modelled on the lines of Lalbagh Botanical Garden. It has over 2,000 coconut trees, five ponds and a three-kilometre jogging track
