According to project report, once in operation, the rail corridor will serve around 20,000 passengers travelling between the industrial hubs of Haryana between Kundli to Palwal. Besides this, 50 million tonne goods will also be transported every year.

Officials in the chief minister office said similar kind of exercise was also started in Gurgaon, Nuh and Palwal districts for the acquisition of land. In all the four districts, the land is either part clear or in possession of KMP on western expressway.
