Curfew was imposed in Mehsana town in Gujarat and mobile internet services suspended as Patidar protesters demanding reservation and release of their jailed leaders clashed with police, damaged state vehicles and tried to torch a government office, leaving 15 people injured. Mobile internet services were banned also in Surat and Rajkot as a precautionary measure, district officials said.
